Advertising

Alongside the Red Cross, as a fundraising campaign (created by the ad agency POL), Ikea arranged one of its show rooms in Slependen, Norway, to portray the horrific reality of the war in Syria. Modeled after an actual war-stricken house outside Damascus, the display was set up and exhibited from October 17th to the 31st,and the aim was to highlight the struggles of typical families in Syria and encourage fundraising for the Red Cross efforts in the war-torn country.

Around 22,000 Euros were raised for the Red Cross and the exhibit received over 40,000 visitors a week while it lasted.
